As R.F.T.G. is entering the business environment, its level of preparedness shall be determined by the competitive analysis.
R.F.T.G. shall identify competitive rivals such as other road users and some time offer a reduce price to the customers.
Basis of Competition
However the cash flow of a business is always determined by the regular flow of customers, therefore R.F.T.G. shall apply the best motivation tactics in maintaining their customer base.
R.F.T.G. shall be innovative in the way they operate the business and they shall deliver a service that many future competitors might not.
Service Features
R.F.T.G. shall make sure the futures of their services are such that varies from service-service. For example, the seats of the van shall be composed of comfortable items that give the user an absolute comfort.
LOCATION
The office is located at 106 kombo sillah drive, Brikama Highway, couple of meters from the west Turn-Table. This is located in the kanifing municipality. This area is a busy center and draws a lot of traffic. There is swift Bank-Business, Access Bank, Hewall mini-market, restaurants, and fashion boutiques. The site is a tourist attraction center, since is a couple of kilometers from the Five-Star Hotel (Sheraton), private Inns, the AU-summit Villa and several other apartments where tourist reside. The place is very close to the cross-road that joints the major towns in the vicinity, thus very busy car area and people moving around.
Customer Relationship
The driver shall make sure customers are regarded as the kings and queens of the business. Therefore, they must deserve respect and time must be spent on them for encouragement and motivation.
Timely Delivery and Convenience
R.F.T.G. shall deliver the services to the customers conveniently at their respective times and the business shall operate in a convenient business environment
Access to Credit Facilities
The van business shall make credit facilities available to certain customers provided that they are credit-worthy. In this, the business shall look into their salaries and their choice of banks and create a link between the bank and the business for regular payment; this must also be done in consultation with The Treasury Department.
Innovation
R.F.T.G. shall enter and occupy the markets with their innovative skills such as discount, gifts, and promos and gain a larger market share.
Market Saturation
The transport industry is not over-flooded yet, there is a wider room for more business investors to showcase in the market. Comparing the population of the Gambia which is approximately 2million people, the standard of living, salaries and the demographic situations of the Gambia, we as a business organization see it necessary to invest in this market and increase the demand for variety of services.
7. MARKETING STRATEGY
R.F.T.G. seeks to put into consideration the need of having a good marketing strategy for the promotion of their services. We will be using different tactics to market our services and putting strategies. Our aim is to serve target customers and create strong relationships with them. There will be customer satisfaction to build a reputation for the business. The various ways we will apply are listed below:

These will make us connect effectively with customers. Our expertise will be “customer-stay focused”. All of our functions must ‘’think consumer’’. We would work in harmony to provide superior customer value and relationships. Customers will be acknowledged and attended in the right away, to avoid lack of attention towards our customers.

There will be provision of greater customer value and satisfaction than our competitors and we will gain strategic advantage by positioning our offerings strongly against competitors’ offerings in the minds of consumers. It will be very competitive but we will find the right marketing strategy for our business to position us higher than competitors.
R.F.T.G. considers advertising in a variety of general and market-focused publications such as phone directories, community newsletters, magazines, posters, billboards. Etc. All these will be used to attract customers and also serve as a standard resource and since we are operating in an increasing connected world, the use of websites will be needed to list down all the services we intend to deliver and the site is already available which is robinhoodfoundation.tk which will be available to international guest wanting to use our van and local users as well.
The use of feedback will be necessary and it will be through direct mail from our customers. It can be either negative or positive; if it is negative, we will try to correct them and the positive ones will be published on our business in areas where our existing and potential customers can see them, such as in print or electronic newsletters, our website, and business brochures e.t.c.
8. Operations
The daily operation of R.F.T.G. van services starts Monday to Saturday 7am-8pm. This will involve daily cleaning of the van by the driver, preparation of the daily receipts, saving of the money to the foundation bank account and positioning the van for customers, satisfying the request of the customers, and making sure that the customers are satisfied with the services offered.
